Why did you choose your profession?

I love business! At an incredibly early stage in my career, I was fortunate to meet my three mentors. Each one of them provided me with coaching and how to succeed with building quality relationships, effective leadership, and fiduciary responsibilities. I simply listened carefully and used the tools and skills I learned to achieve remarkable things as an executive, director, manager, and personal contributor during my career. My passion to build quality internal and external relationships that create trust and yield mutual results is what I work for every day. To that end, I have endeavored to pass the coaching from my mentors to future leaders. I have worked with the vision of helping others with the same ambition I had as a young leader. Like my time playing sports where I often lead a team as a captain, I enjoy winning personally and as a team. I found my passion for business early and have made it my career mission to do my best and bring as many other people as possible along for the ride!

Who is the one person who has done the most to shape you into who you are today? How was the person significant to you? 

I am incredibly grateful for each of my mentors and have told them so repeatedly over my career. However, the people who did the most to shape who I am today are my parents. Both taught me to be humble, enthusiastic, genuine, honest, empathetic, everything you do is worth doing well, treat others the way you want to be treated, have integrity, be accountable, and take the time to enjoy winning.

What has been the greatest accomplishment of your life so far? Is there anything you wish to do even better?

My greatest accomplishment in life so far has come from my career. I have directly led or played a key role in building three greenfield companies that later sold for millions of dollars. The success of those businesses was based on careful planning, execution, and ongoing change management to ensure the products and services were highly profitable and in high demand. While serving in frontline executive roles, in operations, sales, R & D, and product development, my direct contribution won pillar customers, provided excellent service solutions, established best business practices, and better relationships. I am humbled by the successes I have had and celebrate with the many team members, managers, and customers that were with me during the journey to succeed as a team.

How would your peers and team members describe your responsiveness as a leader?

I believe my peers, managers, team members, and customers would all rave about my responsiveness. I believe being responsive is a sign of respect and makes others feel important. I pride myself on showing respect to everyone. I understand that life has a lot of titles and status but showing respect is free. Being responsive does not just address an issue that needs attention or a question. It is also an opportunity to provide my best input. If you are asked for a response, it is a sign that the requestor respects my opinion. Again, this is an opportunity to build relationships and not be a roadblock.
